Better Way Home Care (“we”, “us”) operates this website to help families in Red Deer and Central Alberta learn about our home care services and get in touch with us. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What We Collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to send us. This website has no user accounts, no online purchases, and no push notifications.

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, how and when you prefer to be contacted (optional), and anything you write in your message, which may include details about your or a family member’s care needs.
  • Request-a-callback form: your name and phone number.
  • Usage data: like most websites, we use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) and Google Ads measurement, which collect standard usage information such as pages visited, approximate location, and device type, using cookies.

How We Use It

We use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry, arrange consultations and care services, and keep ordinary business records. Details about care needs are sensitive, and we treat them that way: they are used only to understand and respond to your request. If you prefer to share sensitive details by phone rather than in a form, call us at 403-967-1919.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use form submissions to build marketing lists.

Who Processes It

Form submissions are delivered to our office email and also stored securely in the website’s database. The service providers that make this work are:

  • Hostinger — website hosting. Our web server is located in the United States, so information submitted through the website is stored and processed outside Canada.
  • Resend — delivers form notification emails to our office.
  • Microsoft 365 — our office email system, where your messages are received and answered.
  • Google — the contact form is protected by reCAPTCHA to prevent spam, and the site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

These providers process information on our behalf to operate the website and our communications. We do not share your personal information with anyone else without your consent, unless required by law.

How Long We Keep It

We keep form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business records, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your Rights

Under Alberta’s PIPA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask questions about how it is handled.
